| Thank you. We won! 51.3 % of the vote for a total of 562,135 votes in the November 2008 general election. Our campaign was been about tearing down barriers and building up possibilities. On Tuesday, November 4, 2008 our country spoke and our county voted with great certainty and purpose. The barriers are coming down. I am humbled to share this moment in history with you. Now we turn to building the possibilities - the possibilities inspired by hope. Hope requires the promise of Justice. I take up that promise and pledge to you to be worthy of your trust. The campaign was long and hard. We met many good people along the way and made many new friends. I am grateful to each of you. Thank you. While we will continue to update this page periodically with new photos of public events that I attend, it will mostly be static until the next election in 2012. Email and phone calls will still be answered and you can find me on facebook or out and about in the community. |
